Jerry Brown For Governor

I urge you to vote for Jerry Brown for Governor. Those of you who vote in California have a clear cut choice for Governor. Let me explain my reasoning for supporting Jerry Brown. I could tell you about his great intellect or about his vast experience in understanding California politics and these would be good reasons to vote for Mr. Brown. However my main reason for supporting Mr. Brown is even more fundamental.

Simply put, California is in big financial trouble. I have no doubt that Meg Whitman is a fine person and an excellent business leader. The problem is she would face the same problems Governor Schwarzenegger has faced during his two terms in office. Since it is clear to me that Democratic Party control of the State Legislature will not change during my lifetime and probably well beyond my lifetime, it is imperative that we put a democrat in the Governor's chair. We cannot afford four more years of gridlock in Sacramento. So Jerry Brown has the intellect and experience to do the job. More importantly he will work with the legislature to get California out of the financial crisis we all are immediately facing.
